This proverb says that there is someone for everyone. That every broom has a donkey that is born just to gnaw at it. In other words, that even ugly creatures find love. A soulmate. The other half of their orange (circles embody perfection, and since oranges are round, they must be what beautiful creatures get).
1 ugly broom and 1 ugly donkey makes 2. One half of a beautiful orange and the other half of that same beautiful orange makes 1. The lesson here is that ugly creatures don’t need love to feel complete. And beautiful creatures all look the same, therefore they must be easily replaceable.
Having been made for you guarantees me a passion, a course and knowing that I won’t live my life adrift.
