Some say that the soul dwells in the eyes. We believe that words have souls too. Thus, we turned some words into the eyes of these children.

Every soul has a price. And these are the things these children would buy with their soul’s coins.
Supposedly there are apples in the eyes. But so far we have only been able to find birds. Pretty birds that like to fly away with our souls.
Our wishing well doesn’t accept any more coins. In order to obtain their heart’s wish these children must sacrifice something warmer, something more meaningful.
For our last series we chose insects. Because we wanted to draw some creepy-crawly emotions.

Milk teeth are beautiful things that count the days left until childhood comes to an end. It is said that when one of those deciduous teeth falls, a rat comes to buy it with some coins. And that is the inspiration behind these illustrations.
Some children hold onto their balloons until they deflate. Others release their balloons into space. In these illustrations each balloon is a word.
