WRITTEN FACES 2019-09-08 / ILLUSTRATIONS BY THE HALF DOZEN / bird, butterfly, heart, mask, word / By CorchoGrendel Some say that the soul dwells in the eyes. We believe that words have souls too. Thus, we turned some words into the eyes of these children. BROKEN WINGS: I prefer butterflies because I have seen them fly with torn wings. HATE NOISE: I hate noise. But I hate even more that what I hate becomes a part of me. TIC TOC HEART: Because everything we share is a clock that will eventually wind down. ESCAPE LUCK: When you bid me farewell it is only polite for me to wish you luck. But I decide whether it will be good or bad. SOMETHING UNREADABLE: Because it's mine. And if I cannot read it I can always turn it into something new. NOTHING GIFT: Because I have no obligation to give anything to anyone else. If I do, it will be a gift.
